A New Tourist Information Centre at Ljubljana Airport

The arrivals waiting area at Ljubljana Airport has been housing a new Tourist Information Centre (TIC), whose opening was one of the first successfully completed tasks within the project entitled Tourist Destination Ljubljana Development of Organisational Structures, which has been funded by the European Fund for Regional Development under the Encouragement of Tourist Destination Development programme.

The new TIC is open daily, including Sundays and public holidays. The opening hours are from 11 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and Sundays, and from 11 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Saturdays. General and tourist information can be obtained both from the friendly TIC staff and a wide range of free tourist brochures and other printed materials. Already the first few days since the opening saw numerous passengers, tourists in particular, use the services provided by the new TIC.

The TIC at Ljubljana Brnik Airport is the fourth in the range of Tourist Information Centres operating under the auspices of the Ljubljana Tourist Board. It is part of a joint project run not only by Ljubljana Brnik Airport and the Ljubljana Tourist Board, but also by the other three members of the SPOT Business Interest Association, whose basic goal is to offer integral tourist information services at places where they are needed most by those who come to Slovenia without advance accommodation, transport and other tourist service booking.
