Slovenian flavours invite passengers and visitors
In November the culinary offer at Ljubljana Airport is stressing Slovenian traditional foods. Before the Slovenian Food Day Aerodrom Ljubljana and Mercator handed out more than 1,100 packs of Slovenian breakfasts to passengers and employees at the airport. Until the end of the month airport bars, restaurant and shops will be offering traditional Slovenian dishes and products at promotional prices.
Before the Slovenian Food Day, this year on November 18, Aerodrom Ljubljana in cooperation with Mercator and its partners (Ljubljanske mlekarne, Mlekarna Celeia, Evrosad and Pekarna Grosuplje)handed out more than 1,100 Slovenian breakfasts to passengers and employees at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport. Within Traditional Slovenian Breakfast project of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food our aim was to raise awareness of the importance of healthy and regular breakfasts, of Slovenian traditions and to support domestic suppliers. At the airport the Slovenian Food Day will be upgraded by »Slovenian offer". Until the end of the month airport bars, restaurant and shops will be offering traditional Slovenian dishes and products at promotional prices.
In Travel Value & Duty Free Shop carefully selected Slovene culinary products are available: Slovenian "potica", chocolate, honey products and products of Piranske soline.
In bars Polet, Follow me and Culto you can treat yourself with delicious small Slovenian "potica", "gibanica", cream cake and prosciutto sandwich.
In bars Avionček and Terasa Avionček you can enjoy the cream cake.
In mobile catering units of casualfood Mondo and Hermann’s passengers can satisfy their hunger with Krainer sausage and walnut "potica".
