Direct Flights from Brnik to Warsaw
From 2nd September Ljubljana Airport is connected also to Warsaw. New connection was established cooperation with Adria Airways and Polish airline LOT.
Ljubljana Airport has endeavoured to secure an air connection to Warsaw for more than two years, because the Polish market of 50 million people offers good profit potential. Until now, travellers have had to use Vienna and Munich airports as the starting points for their trips to the Polish capital.
Flights to Warsaw take place four times weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday). Adria flies twice a week and LOT fllies twice a week. Both airlines are members of Star Alliance.
"There is an increasingly lively business exchange between Poland and Slovenia. More than 500 Slovenian companies have business ties with Poland, and around 50 have representation there. Warsaw Airport is also a very good point from which to continue on flights to other Eastern European countries. We expect that this connection will be used not only by business people, but also for Slovenian tourism, as that part of Europe has always been of interest to Slovenia. We estimate that LOT and Adria will carry about 12,000 passengers yearly on these lines," stated Zmago Skobir, a member of the board of Aerodrom Ljubljana, d.d.
