Passenger's rights and steps for reimbursement of purchased Adria Airways tickets

We have gathered some useful information for passengers whose flights were cancelled due to the bankruptcy of Adria Airways.

If the ticket was booked directly with Adria Airways (through their online sales, sales centers or through their point of sale at Ljubljana Airport):

  • A refund of the ticket must be requested through the bankruptcy manager - the application must be filed no later than January 3, 2020
  • If the ticket was purchased with a bank or credit card, the customer should inquire about the possibility of refunding the amount payed with the card issuing bank. If the ticket for an Adria Airways flight was booked with another airline, travel agency or ticket agency, the customer should contact the point of sale where the purchase was made and attempt to exercise the rights of the airline passengers in the event of a canceled flight. We would also like to inform all passengers that the loss of connections to some destinations, such as Frankfurt, Zurich, Munich and Brussels due to the bankruptcy of Adria Airways has already been replaced by other carriers, in this case members of Lufthansa Group Airlines. In addition to the aforementioned connections, Ljubljana Airport also offers flights from 10 airlines flying to the following destinations: Aeroflot (Moscow), Air France (Paris), Air Serbia (Belgrade and Niš), easyJet (London Gatwick, London Stansted and Berlin), Finnair (Helsinki), LOT Polish Airlines (Warsaw), Montenegro Airlines (Podgorica), Transavia (Amsterdam), Turkish Airlines (Istanbul) and Wizz Air (Brussels Charleroi and London Luton). In addition, some of these carriers also announced an increase in flight volumes, with the start of the winter timetable.
