General Aviation Center temporarily closed

For the purpose of containing the spread of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 the Government of the Republic of Slovenia has banned air passenger traffic from all countries (including the EU states) to Slovenia until 13 April, 2020. Read more here.

Due to the ban Fraport Slovenija will not be able to perform regular passenger handling services. To provide support for the remaining handling operations Fraport Slovenija will be running significantly reduced shifts which will fully cover exempt flights.

The ban doesn’t apply to cargo traffic, special air transports without passengers and specific government flights with humanitarian and healthcare purposes.

Ljubljana Airport's General Aviation Center, which takes care of all commercial, business and private aircrafts and helicopters, if they do not exceed 44 tons of MTOW (maximum take-off weight) and have up to 19 seats on board, has been temporarily closed.

Contractual partners of the Center can still operate training flights, VFR flying and other type of flights in line with the issued ordinance of the Government. Due to closure of the Center, access to aircrafts is enabled through the security control point R1 near fire and rescue team. Access can be granted in agreement with Fraport Slovenija's Traffic Coordination (tel.: +386 4 20 61 215), available every day between 9:00AM and 6:00PM.
