When and where to fly from Ljubljana Airport
As a consequence of the covid-19 pandemic air traffic in Europe and all over the world has been severely limited. Ljubljana Airport has been opened again for passenger flights from May 12, since the government has lifted the ban on commercial air traffic.
Air carriers have announced gradual recovery of flights to Ljubljana Airport, where actual dates will mostly depend on releasing border limitations and other restrictive measures in particular countries as well as on the recovery of flights demand. These regular airlines have already returned with international flights:
- Air Serbia (daily to Belgrade),
- Montenegro Airlines (three times weekly to Podgorica),
- Lufthansa (twelve times weekly to Frankfurt),
- Wizz Air (twice weekly to Brussels Charleroi),
- Transavia (twice weekly to Amsterdam),
- Air France (four times weekly to Paris, soon daily),
- Turkish Airlines (four times weekly to Istanbul).
LOT Polish Airlines has announced they will resume flights to Warsaw in July and easyJet is expected to start flying to London and Berlin according to announcments. We hope other airlines will also return soon: Brussels Airlines with flights to Brussels, Aeroflot to Moscow, Windrose to Kiev, Tel Aviv with one of Israeli airlines and British Airways to London Heathrow.
Finnair will be returning to Ljubljana Airport in Summer Season 2021. Considering current announcements, easyJet won't be establishing flights to London Luton this Summer (they will be flying to Stansted and Gatwick), Lufthansa to Munich, SWISS to Zurich, Iberia to Madrid and Air Serbia will not be offering flights to Niš.
The seasonal schedule of flights from Ljubljana Airport, which represents official announcements of flights from carriers, is available here. Due to current circumstances these are changing daily, therefore we advise passengers to seek most accurate information about possibilities and flights on airlines' websites.
All passengers who should travel to/from Ljubljana Airport in the coming days are advised to check their flight status or travelling possibilities with the airline or the point of sale where they bought their tickets. You can find more on passenger rights here.
