A new cold store designed for storing pharmaceutical shipments that need to be kept at temperatures of 2° to 8°C came online at the Fraport Slovenija cargo warehouse before the holidays. At 150 cubic metres, the cold store will double the capacity to store cold-chain cargo, which accounts for a few percent of the total cargo at the warehouse. The new facility will also improve reliability in the storage of pharmaceutical products.

Slovenian aviation has lost one of its legends: it is with great sadness that we received the news that the first director of Aerodrom Ljubljana, Mr Jurij Štirn, has died at the age of 96.

Fraport Slovenija has become a winner in the category of best annual report in the area of sustainable development. In addition to its win in the aforementioned category, Fraport Slovenija also received distinctions in the categories of best financial report (third place), best annual report in communications (third place), and best annual report at large enterprises (second place).

To improve the epidemiological situation in the country the Government of the Republic of Slovenia has decided on November 12 to temporarily suspend all public transport, except air transport. Ljubljana Airport remains open for passenger and cargo traffic.

The airport is ready to welcome passengers safely, and ensure a safe workplace for employees. With the resumption of air traffic, the airport has adopted new preventive measures for passengers and employee guidelines in order to reduce the possibility of infection.
