The new service will operate three times per week – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – offering passengers a fast and convenient connection to one of easyJet’s key UK bases. Tickets are already available via the airline’s website and mobile app, with one-way fares starting from €40.99.
The new route from Ljubljana is designed for both leisure and business travellers seeking a reliable and affordable travel option.
London Luton will become easyJet’s fourth destination from Ljubljana, alongside London Gatwick, Manchester and Edinburgh. This addition further improves connectivity between Slovenia and the United Kingdom and supports growing demand for travel in both directions, for tourism as well as business.
Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said:
»We’re pleased to be putting flights and package holidays to Ljubljana on sale from London Luton Airport, further expanding the choice available to our customers. Ljubljana is an increasingly popular destination, offering rich culture, stunning scenery and easy access to Slovenia’s beautiful landscapes, and we’re confident this new route will prove popular with customers looking to explore somewhere a little different with affordable fares now on sale.«
Simon Harley, Interim Aviation Director at London Luton Airport, said:
»We’re delighted to be adding yet another hugely popular, sought-after destination with easyJet, meaning even greater choice for the millions of passengers who travel from London Luton Airport each year. Ljubljana is a vibrant, culturally-rich city that is renowned for its historical heritage, green spaces and lively atmosphere. Our role as ever will be to deliver a simple and friendly passenger experience to ensure the best possible start for those heading to this stunning capital city.«
Jürgen Deischl, Managing Director of Fraport Slovenija, emphasised the importance of the new route:
»We are pleased to welcome easyJet’s fourth direct service from Ljubljana, further strengthening Ljubljana Airport’s connectivity. The UK remains one of Slovenia’s key markets for both leisure and business travel, and we continue to see strong growth potential in links between the two countries. We greatly appreciate easyJet’s continued confidence in our market and are delighted to further develop this successful partnership together.«
Ljubljana Airport is entering one of its strongest summer seasons in recent years. In the coming months, a total of 24 airlines will offer 30 direct routes, providing passengers with a wide range of destinations. In addition to the recently launched new direct service to Edinburgh, Scotland, Ljubljana Airport will welcome a new Wizz Air route to Podgorica at the beginning of June. Another positive development is the announcement that flydubai, which temporarily suspended flights on the Dubai–Ljubljana route, will resume services on 24 May. Lufthansa flights to Munich are also returning to the schedule in June.
