The everyday business of the company is directed by its senior management.



Dr. Babett Stapel, who joined Fraport Slovenija, d.o.o., in 2016, became the Managing Director of Fraport Slovenija on 1 October 2021. Organizational units reporting directly to her include Accounting and Finance, Planning and Controlling, Commercial, Aviation Management, Integrated Governance Systems, Human Resources and Training, and Real Estate Management. Her responsibility additionally include Corporate Communications, Legal and Internal Audit.  

She joined Fraport AG in 1999 as an in-house lawyer and continued her career as an analyst and from 2004 to 2010 as the Head of Retail Strategy Department at Frankfurt Airport. In 2011 she became part of the Management Board of Lima Airport Partners S.R.L., Lima, Peru. Her board responsibility covered Human Resources, Image and Communication, and Management Systems. In 2016 she joined the Management Board of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD in Varna, Bulgaria where she was responsible for Commercial and Aviation Activities. After a short stay in Bulgaria she took up her work at Fraport Slovenija, d.o.o., as Chief Finance, Administrative and Commercial Office and Procurator.  

Babett Stapel is a lawyer (PhD) graduated from the   University of Hamburg, Germany with a complementary education in business administration (MBA) from the University of Nottingham, England. Further studies abroad included research stays at McGill University in Montreal, Canada and University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, as well as a Diplomado in Internal Communication at the Universidad Del Pacífico, Lima, Perú. She finished her law studies after a two years legal clerkship in Hamburg, Germany, with the bar exam in 1998.    

Babett Stapel has twenty-one years of professional experience in the aviation industry, more than ten of them as a C-Level manager and seventeen with staff   responsibility. She is certified ontological coach by the International Coaching School ASERSENTIDO, Chile-Peru. Her studies and work in different countries equipped her with extensive experience in airport management and of managing other cultures and environments.



Mr. Zmago Skobir was appointed Managing Director of Aerodrom Ljubljana, d.o.o., in March 2015, after selling Aerodrom to Fraport AG and trasformation from a public limited to a limited liability company.

He joined Aerodrom Ljubljana in 2002, first as a special advisor to the board. A year later he was appointed a board member and in July 2007 a president of the management board. He was responsible for the traffic-technical division and commercial division, for the aero-engineering division, for legal affairs, for corporate communications and for procurement.

Mr. Skobir was managing the company Fraport Slovenija till 1 October 2021.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana, before passing his bar exam at Ljubljana Higher Court and taking his specialisation at the law faculty in Belgrade. He has a wealth of experience in aviation and tourism.

He was commercial director at Adria Airways from 1984 to 1998, when he was responsible for launching the domestic airline’s first scheduled services and the establishment of partnership with airliner Lufthansa. During this period he set up and ran Adria GmbH-Frankfurt, and established the service linking Ljubljana with Frankfurt.

The next step in his career was at the helm of Globtour. He was the driving force behind the establishment of the SPOT (Slovenian Power of Tourism) consortium, which he also headed, and was also a member of the tourism commission at the Ministry of the Economy and a member of the expert council at the Slovenian Tourist Board.

At the Faculty of Economics he gave post-graduate lectures on the subject of air tourism and airlines.

Since 2006 he has been on the board of ACI Europe, which is a major player in shaping European aviation and transport policy. 

Oliver Weiss joined Fraport Slovenija as the Chief Operating Officer in the beginning of 2020.

He earned a B.A. (Business Administration) and MBA (Marketing) degree from Euro FH in Hamburg and has extensive experience in the aviation and airport industry, having been committed to it for nearly thirty years.

He began his career in 1992 as a supply controller at Frankfurt Airport, and continued at Fraport AG, where he worked in the field of planning, managed the passenger relations center, was an assistant to terminal manager, and headed the traffic coordination and management department. Since 2006, he has been involved in various international projects of Fraport AG. In his enviably rich business career, he has operated at a number of international airports. He was Head of Air Traffic Management at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, Chief Operating Officer in Cairo, Chief Operating Officer at King Abdulaziz Airport in Saudi Arabia, Director of Airport Operations in Frankfurt, and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg.
