Firefighter (m/f)

Ljubljana Airport has its own highly trained fire and rescue unit, which plays a vital role in ensuring safety across the entire airport area. Stationed at the very heart of the airport, our firefighters are ready to respond immediately to a wide range of incidents—from aircraft emergencies and fire alarms to technical interventions and other critical situations in the terminal, warehouses, hangars, and auxiliary facilities.

The work of airport firefighters is dynamic and carries great responsibility. In an emergency, every second counts.

“Many people think our job is just about putting out fires. But that’s only a small part of what we do. Every day is different—we train, inspect equipment, carry out safety checks, and continuously learn. The biggest challenge? Staying completely focused in every situation. The best part? Knowing that our work directly contributes to the safety of everyone at the airport.”
