Ground Support Equipment Operator (m/f)

Ground Handling Equipment Operators at the airport are responsible for the efficient and safe operation of various vehicles and equipment used to provide comprehensive aircraft servicing on the airport apron. This includes everything from loading and unloading baggage and cargo, cleaning aircraft, positioning boarding stairs, to towing aircraft and carrying out other complex ground handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aircraft servicing:
    Ground Handling Equipment Operators ensure the comprehensive servicing of aircraft from landing to take-off. This includes tasks such as positioning passenger stairs or jet bridges, loading and unloading baggage or cargo, operating various ground handling equipment (e.g. container loaders, baggage belts), securing cargo, and more.

  • Collaboration with other airport departments:
    To ensure smooth operations on the apron, close cooperation with other airport teams is essential—including airline staff, security services, and air traffic control.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Category B driving license
