Ljubljana Airport with Airport Health Accreditation

Zg.Brnik, 25. 3. 2021 -  Fraport Slovenija has passed an assessment of its measures to protect against novel coronavirus at Ljubljana Airport. We thus earned our Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) from the Airport Council International, joining the family of airports who ensure the safest health conditions for passengers and staff. This is part of our preparations for a major revival of traffic when the epidemic eases.

The AHA programme provides an assessment of the conditions and organisational measures that ensure a safe airport experience in line with the health recommendations set out by the air traffic restart and recovery guidelines. The programme tells users that accredited airports are safe, and are taking every precautionary measure to reduce the risks to public health. It was developed on the basis of best practice, in line with the ICAO’s CART take-off recommendations.

“We are proud of this achievement, which proves that our airport is safe to travel through, and that we uphold the highest standards of hygiene,” said Zmago Skobir, managing director of Fraport Slovenija.”

“During the epidemic, while the ability to travel has been limited and there have been few passengers, we have taken the opportunity to make safety improvements in the sense of health and hygiene measures that serve to protect passengers and staff. After introducing protective measures for passengers and staff, and setting up a Covid-19 testing point that allows passengers and other users to test themselves for coronavirus at the airport before or after travelling, we took a further step with the Airport Health Accreditation. We are proud of this achievement, which proves that our airport is safe to travel through, and that we uphold the highest standards of hygiene,”  said  Zmago Skobir, managing director of Fraport Slovenija.
