Last Sunday, Air Montenegro has re-established flights to Tivat, a popular Montenegrin seaside holiday destination. The carrier will be offering four flights per week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flights to Tivat are available already from 89 EUR (price for one-way flight ticket). Flights to Podgorica won’t be available during this time, Air Montenegro will return the connection in October.
"The beginning of summer brings the start of the busiest months for Ljubljana Airport. Our flight network has been enriched with additional regular flights and the charter offer will be in full swing. We are happy that Air Montenegro has adapted its offer for our passengers in the peak season by offering flights to the popular holiday destination on the Montenegrin coast. A valuable addition, especially for tourists travelling to Slovenia, is the re-established connection of Israir Airlines to Tel Aviv,” commented Dr. Babett Stapel, the Managing Director of Fraport Slovenija right before the peak summer season starts.
Yesterday, Israir Airlines has returned flights to Tel Aviv. The carrier will operate the connection from Ljubljana Airport every Tuesday and Saturday, until end of October. Mostly foreign charter passengers visiting Slovenia will be traveling on these flights, although flight tickets are available also online, already from EUR 90. The second largest city in Israel is the country's economic and cultural hub. Owing to its coastal location, it is an attractive summer destination and also famous for its exciting nightlife. The flight schedule of flights to Tivat is available
In the Summer Schedule 15 regular carriers are offering flights to 19 destinations from Ljubljana Airport:
The offering of charter flights will give a greater choice of destinations compared to last year. Travel agencies that organize seasonal charters from Ljubljana Airport, will be offering packages to the next holiday destinations over the summer: numerous Greek islands, Turkey, Spain and Egypt.
In the first five months of 2022 Ljubljana Airport has all-together handled more than 280 thousand passengers, which is almost seven times more than in the same period last year. In May, almost six times more passenger traffic was handled (84,886 passengers) compared to May 2021. This dynamic growth has been fuelled by easing of entry limitations in European countries and around the world, and subsequently increasing demand for regular flights. Charter traffic is supporting this growth as well.
During the summer months traffic at Ljubljana Airport will be very lively. Passengers themselves can make a significant contribution to be handled quicker at the airport, by arriving there on time and well prepared. We recommend that they arrive at least two hours before their flight, they must hold all the necessary travel documents and pay attention to the validity of identification documents.
The use of advanced technologies in the new terminal ensures a better travelling experience. Passengers pass through the automated boarding pass control to reach the security control point and the use of smart security lines and advanced baggage screening technology helps the flow through the check procedure to be quicker. In February, the connecting corridor between the new and the old terminal opened, and certain parts of the old terminal have been renovated to welcome arriving passengers. The corridor serves as a connection to the new security check for charter passenger checking-in in the old building as well as for transfer passengers from non-Schengen areas.
