We expect an abundant offer of charter flights in the summer season to the most popular destinations on the  Greek islands,  Egypt, Turkey and Spain, to where a wider offer will be available (Vittoria, Santiago di Compostela, Barcelona, Sevilla and Girona). Holiday packages with Slovenian travel agencies will be available also to  Madeira, Porto, the Azores, Faroe Islands and Scotland, Iceland, Tenerife, Cape Verde islands, Cairo, Jordan, the Netherlands and Riga.

This summer season brought the hustle and bustle back to Ljubljana Airport. Passenger traffic is recovering well – in the period  from January to November we have handled 909,634 passengers in public traffic, which is 141% more than in the same period last year. We plan to count close to one million passengers until the end of the year.

“Passenger traffic is recovering well in the winter season, some carriers have or are still expected to strengthen their frequencies, which shows that flight demand is continuing to recover. The first announcements of flight services for the summer season look promising – flight frequencies to the biggest hubs (Frankfurt, London, Paris, Brussels, Zurich, Munich, Istanbul and Dubai) will be significantly increased thus expanding the possibilities to travel from Ljubljana Airport to all around the globe. Our flight network will be richer by a new scheduled destination – we will be welcoming flights of Aegean Airlines to Athens. A wider selection of charter flights will be available too, «  said  Dr  Babett Stapel,  Managing Director of Fraport Slovenija  on the recovery of traffic and outlooks for the summer season.
