Starting today, the charter carrier Trade Air, operating under the agencies Palma and Relax, will fly to Antalya three times a week using a 180-seat Airbus A320. Alongside Greece, Turkey remains one of the top holiday choices for Slovenian travelers. This summer, a wide selection of charter flights will also be available to Spain, France, Egypt, and Tunisia. In addition, by the end of the year, travel agencies will offer flights to Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Iceland, and Ireland.
Flights to these destinations are operated by five charter airlines: Trade Air, Sky Vision, Nesma Airlines, Nouvelair, and Free Bird. The travel organizers include Slovenian agencies Palma, Relax, Intelekta, ETI, and Oasis.
Charter traffic plays an important role in complementing the scheduled flight network at Ljubljana Airport. In 2025, around 140,000 passengers are expected in this segment alone.
In May, over 151,000 passengers were served in public passenger traffic, representing a 13.5% increase compared to May 2024. From January through the end of May, the airport recorded a 4.5% growth year-over-year, with over 528,000 passengers handled. By the end of the year, Ljubljana Airport is projected to serve more than 1.5 million passengers across both scheduled and charter flights.
