The new easyJet route will provide Slovenian passengers with direct access to Northern England. Flights will operate twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, starting from 4 November. Departures from Ljubljana Airport are scheduled for 10:10 on Tuesdays and 10:20 on Saturdays.

The flights will be operated using a 186-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. Tickets are already available at www.easyjet.com, starting from €39 (one-way fare).

From its base in Manchester, easyJet offers flights to 84 destinations, mainly major European cities and popular Mediterranean holiday locations.

"The offer of low-cost connections from Ljubljana Airport continues to grow. We are delighted that easyJet has decided to build on our long-standing cooperation by introducing this new route. Flights to Manchester will make an important contribution to connectivity with the UK market — both by attracting tourists to Slovenia and by providing Slovenian travellers with more options for visiting the UK. The service will also support stronger business ties between our two countries,” said Dr. Babett Stapel, Managing Director of Fraport Slovenija, on the occasion of the route announcement.

In terms of public passenger traffic, Ljubljana Airport handled more than 151,000 passengers in May — an increase of 13.5% compared to May 2024. From January to the end of May, passenger traffic was up by 4.5% year-on-year, with over 528,000 travellers recorded.
