Wizz Air launches new Ljubljana–Podgorica route

Zgornji Brnik, 2 June 2026 –  A new scheduled service between Ljubljana and Podgorica was launched today at Ljubljana Airport. Wizz Air, which already operates flights between Brnik and Skopje, will serve the Montenegrin capital four times per week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. In the summer schedule, passengers will have access to 30 direct connections from Ljubljana Airport, in addition to a wide range of charter flights to popular holiday destinations.

The Montenegrin capital is known for its proximity to the Adriatic coast, picturesque mountain landscape, and increasingly diverse urban tourism offer. The new route further strengthens connectivity in the Western Balkans region and opens additional opportunities for tourism and business travel. Tickets are already available on the airline’s website, with one-way fares starting at 14.99€.

The new route represents an important enhancement of the summer timetable, as Ljubljana Airport enters one of its strongest summer seasons in recent years. In the coming months, a total of  24 airlines  will offer  30 direct connections, providing passengers with a wide range of destinations.

Wizz Air is one of Europe’s leading low-cost airlines, serving an extensive network of destinations across Europe and beyond. With a modern Airbus A320 and A321 fleet, the airline already operates a regular route between Ljubljana and  Skopje.
